9. PRIZES
At each qualifying round, prizes which will be awarded to the top 5 winning teams.
10. DRAW AND STARTING TIME
The Organizing Committee shall decide on the starting times and groupings.
The Organizing Committee reserves the rights to alter the draw at its absolute discretion.
11. SUSPENSION OF PLAY (Rule 5.7)
When play is suspended for a dangerous situation, players MUST stop play immediately and MUST NOT make another stroke until the Organizing Committee orders a resumption of play. When play is stopped for a dangerous situation, all practice areas are closed to all participants.
Penalty for breach: DISQUALIFICATION
During suspension for a dangerous situation, all players MUST return to the clubhouse and assemble at the Golfers’ Terrace for announcements.
The following signals will be used to suspend and resume play.
• Immediate Stop/Dangerous Situation :1 prolonged note of the siren.
• Normal Non-dangerous Stop :3 consecutive short notes of the siren.
• Resume play :2 consecutive short notes of the siren.
12. USE OF BUGGIES & CADDIES
Each team will be provided with a buggy and a caddie on a twin-sharing basis.
13. PACE OF PLAY POLICY (RULE 5.6b (3))
A group is Out of Position when it is over the allocated time for the holes that have been played and not in position with the previous group. In the absence of mitigating circumstances, a group is liable to be timed if it is in excess of the time allowed and, in the case of second or subsequent groups, Out of Position.
From the commencement of timing, if any player exceeds 50 seconds on a ‘first to play’ approach shot (including par 3 tee shot), chip or putt, or 40 seconds if it is a tee shot or ‘second or third to play shot’, he is deemed to have a bad time.
The time allowed will be determined by the Chief Referee and will be published on the notice board. The first group and any group after a starter’s gap will be “Out of Position” if, at any time during the round, the group’s cumulative time exceeds the time allowed for the number of holes completed. Any following group will be “Out of Position” if it is more than the starting interval behind the group in front and has exceeded the time allowed for the number of holes completed.
A player whose group is timed will have a bad time carried forward in the round even if the group subsequently arrives back in position or within time.
Penalty for Breach of Pace of Play Policy:
1 bad time – verbal warning from a Referee
2 bad times – 1 stroke penalty
3 bad times – 2 stroke penalty
4 bad times – Disqualification
Notes:
a) Players will be advised that they are being timed.
b) Timings will be taken from the moment it is deemed by the Referee that it is the player’s turn to play.
c) In some circumstances, an individual or two players within a group of three or four, may be timed rather than the entire group.
14. SCORING AREA AND SCORE CARD SUBMISSION
Score cards must be submitted to the scoring area as soon as possible on completion of the round. A scorecard is deemed to be submitted the moment the player leaves the designated scoring area. Both player and marker must be present at the scoring area to submit the scorecard. Otherwise, their scorecards will not be accepted for scoring purposes.
15. RESULTS OF THE COMPETITION – COMPETITION CLOSED
The result of the Tournament is officially announced when the final results sheet is placed on the official notice board.
16. NATIONAL FINAL
Top 5 winning teams from each qualifying round shall qualify for the World Corporate Golf Challenge (Malaysia) National Final on 25th September 2025 at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club. Any player who qualifies for the National Final but fails to attend will be held responsible for the management costs incurred. By confirming participation in the National Final, all qualifiers agree to abide by this regulation. If a qualified player fails to attend, the entire team will be disqualified (DQ). This is a team-based event; both players must participate. A single player cannot represent the team, even if only one score is required. Nominating substitute player is not allowed.
17. WORLD FINAL – THE RACE TO SHANGHAI, CHINA
The Winning Team (2 players) of the National Final shall qualify for the WCGC World Final in Shanghai, China from 19-23 October 2025. Any player who qualifies for the World Finals but fails to attend will be held responsible for the management costs incurred. By confirming participation in the World Final, all qualifiers agree to abide by this regulation. If a qualified player fails to attend, the entire team will be disqualified (DQ). This is a team-based event; both players must participate. A single player cannot represent the team, even if only one score is required. Nominating substitute player is not allowed. If the winner fails comply the above, he or she must indemnify the organizing committee the cost of airfare, tournament fee, accommodation & transfers.
18. AMATEUR STATUS
An amateur golfer must not accept a prize (other than a symbolic prize) or prize voucher of retail value in excess of £700/USD1,000 (RM4,000) or the equivalent, or such a lesser figure as may be decided by the Governing Body. This limit applies to the total prizes or prize vouchers received by an amateur golfer in any one competition or series of competitions, excluding any hole-in-one prize (see Rule 3.2 on Rules of Amateur Status).
The limits prescribed in Rule 3.2 do not apply to a prize for a hole-in-one. An amateur golfer may accept a prize in excess of the limit set in Rule 3.3, including a cash prize for a hole-in-one made while playing a round of golf. Such a prize may be accepted in addition to any other prize won in the same competition.
NO CASH prizes are allowed, a prize voucher MUST not be a monetary award. A prize voucher is a voucher, gift certificate, gift card or the like approved by the MGA in charge of competition for the purchase of goods or services from a Pro shop, golf club or other retail outlets.
NOTE: The onus of receiving a prize or prizes that exceed the prescribed limits lies with the participant. The Committee and its sponsors shall not be liable for any action on players for any breach of Rules pertaining to Amateur Status
19. STANDARDS OF PLAYER CONDUCT (Rule 1.2)
The following would be considered breach of Standards of Player Conduct:
a) Usage of hand phone during play to the annoyance and distractions of other players.
b) Verbal abuse of other players, staff or officials.
c) Intentionally distracting or offending other players.
d) Do not take good care of the course, eg. not raking bunkers, not replacing/filling divots etc
e) Any other breaches not listed above but are deemed to be serious by the Organizing Committee
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF PLAYER CONDUCT:
First Breach : Warning by Referee / Committee
Second Breach : 1 stroke penalty
Third Breach : 2 strokes penalty
Fourth Breach or Any Serious Breach : Disqualification
20. DECISIONS ON THE RULES OF GOLF
a) A Referee is an official named by the Organizing Committee to decide questions of fact and apply the Rules.
b) In the absence of a Referee, any dispute or doubtful points on the Rules shall be referred to the Rules Committee, whose decision shall be final (Rule 20.2b).
c) A player with any dispute or doubtful points on the Rules of Golf may invoke Rule 20.1c to play a second ball but MUST report the facts of the situation to the Rules Committee before returning scorecard. Otherwise, the player may be Disqualified.
21. CAPTURE OF IMAGES
Participants may be filmed and photographed during the Tournament. By signing the entry form, participant agree to be filmed, photographed, televised or otherwise recorded during the championship, and that captured or recorded image, together with name, may be used in any content, format and through any media or technology whether now existing or created in the future, by the Organizing Committee, and third parties authorized by the Organizing Committee during or after the Tournament in perpetuity in relation to the celebration and promotion of the game of golf in a non-commercial manner.
22. INCLEMENT WEATHER AND SUSPENSION OF PLAY
a) The Organizing Committee will make every effort to complete an event in it’s entirely. However, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to suspend or abandon play as deemed necessary.
b) In the unlikely event if the course is unplayable and play is abandoned or other conditions warrant such action, the Organizing Committee shall then decide either to continue play the following day or to take whatever course of action it deemed appropriate.
23. INDEMINITY/LIABILITIES
Elora Global Sdn. Bhd, The Royal Patron, the Organizing Committee, the Rules Committee, Presenting Sponsor, Main Sponsors, Co-Sponsors and the respective golf clubs stipulated in this ToC will not be responsible for any accidents, damage of any property or any form of injuries that the players of the Tournament may suffer as a result of their participation in this Tournament.
24. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & CONSENT
By communicating with Elora Global Sdn Bhd using WCGC Malaysia services, or by virtue of your engagement with Elora Global Sdn Bhd, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Private Policy and agree and consent to the use, process and transfer of your Personal Data by Elora Global Sdn Bhd as described in this Private Policy.
The collection of your personal data by us and sponsors may be mandatory or voluntary in nature depending on the Purposes for which your personal data is collected. Where it is mandatory for you to provide us with your personal data, and you fail or choose not to provide us with such data, or do not consent to the above or this Privacy Policy, we will not be able to provide our Platform and/or Service to you.
25. AMENDMENTS TO TOC
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend these Terms of Competition as it may deemed fit and necessary.
